Our trade finance solutions

Export

We provide our customers with tools to ensure secure payment under an executed contract:

  • Export Letters of Credit
    A payment method that safeguards the interests of both the exporter and importer. It is irrevocable and subject to the fulfillment of specified conditions. It represents the obligation of the importer’s bank to pay the exporter once the exporter meets the terms of the letter of credit by presenting the required documents within the specified timeframe. We offer:
    • Full handling of export letters of credit, including advising the letter of credit;
    • Document verification;
    • Adding confirmation to the letter of credit (assuming the risk of the importer’s bank/ issuing bank).
  • Forfaiting (Discounting) of Export Letters of Credit with Deferred Payment
    An individually negotiated financing method. It does not increase the client’s exposure nor require additional collateral. This service involves the purchase of receivables arising from a deferred-payment letter of credit, upon fulfillment of the payment conditions and acceptance of the relevant country and bank risk.
  • Documentary and Clean Collections
    A safer alternative to prepayment.  Initiated by the exporter, it does not tie up the importer’s funds before the payment due date.

Import

We help our customers choose the safest and most attractive form of securing their payment obligations.

Available solutions include:

  • Import Letters of Credit
    A payment method that safeguards the interests of both the importer and exporter. It is irrevocable and subject to the fulfillment of specified conditions. It represents the obligation of the importer’s bank to pay the exporter once the exporter meets the terms of the letter of credit by presenting the required documents within the specified timeframe. It may include a prepayment clause allowing discounting of the deferred-payment letter of credit at the beneficiary’s request.
  • Leasing with Letter of Credit
    Primarily used for importing fixed assets. It allows the importer to maximize the deferred payment period while providing the producer (beneficiary) with conditional and irrevocable payment assurance.
  • Documentary and Clean Collections
    A safer alternative to a bank transfer, initiated by the exporter, without involving importer’s funds before the payment due date.

Domestic and international guarantees

Bank guarantees can take various forms for both parties to a contract. They typically cover the risk that the buyer or investor will not pay and the risk that the contractor or supplier will not fulfill their obligations, in both domestic and cross-border transactions.  Bank guarantees are also often required to secure public receivables, grants, or rental obligations. We provide a full range of solutions in this area.

e-Guarantees
An e-Guarantee is a bank guarantee issued electronically with a qualified signature. It is presented through the iBiznes24 online banking system  or sent to a designated email address.

Financing with support from export agencies

We provide customers with access to financing supported by Export Credit Agencies (ECAs). This financing can cover domestic and international investments, as well as working capital.

We have experience in cooperating with both foreign ECAs and the Polish Export Credit Insurance Corporation (KUKE). Our experienced team structures transactions based on the security instruments provided by these entities.

With ECA support, we participate in financing:

  • Domestic investments, such as production capacity expansion or infrastructure projects;
  • Foreign investments, including acquisitions abroad or investments in customer-owned foreign subsidiaries;
  • Investments supporting energy transition in Poland, including within project finance structures;
  • Ongoing business operations (for example: working capital loans, guarantees, letters of credit and supplier financing programmes).

Working Capital / Structured Financing

We help customers optimise working capital financing through a broad range of products covering receivables, payables, and inventory. This can be done via bank products or factoring company products.

Whether the contract involves execution, services, or trade, and whether it is domestic, cross-border, or international, we can structure appropriate financing and security. We offer a full range of products and solutions to make this possible. We also take into account their balance sheet or off-balance-sheet presentation and efficient use of credit limits.

Flexible transaction structuring allows receivables financing in various forms based on customer preferences – recourse factoring, non-recourse factoring, or insured solutions. We stand out with our portfolio receivables purchase solution, which enables efficient approval of dispersed debtor pools for both domestic and international financing.

As one of the leading players in payables financing market, we offer tailored supplier financing programmes, either charged to suppliers (confirming) or our customers (reverse factoring).  We finance both domestic and international suppliers, strengthening customer-supplier relationships. Depending on needs, we can finance payables and advance payments. Our programmes feature fully electronic management via a modern web-based platform or host-to-host connections.
